Hi my girls, contouring and highlighting is something which is always tricky and at times you are not sure which shade of contouring will be suiting your face. I am personally looking for different shades to try out for contouring and enjoy the different looks according to different outfits and situations.
Recently I came across a contouring powder by Atiqa Odho cosmetics called "Coffee". Its very reasonable price urged me to try this out as my mantra is to find out better priced alternatives to everything expensive. Read further to find out how it works and what is its result like on my face.

Beginner's Guide to Contouring & Highlighting

Hi my lovelies, makeup is a unique science in itself; and until you actually  know how to use a specific product, you wont ever understand how dramatically a simple trick can change your whole look. The same thing happened with me when I didnt know how to use a blush on face and once I actually did learn how to use it, I just realized what I was missing and how it makes my whole look complete in an instant. Similarly, I have recently indulged into contouring and highlighting and believe me it is a drastic change to your face even with lighter strokes and proper tools.

Review - Essence Liquid Lipstick in '03 Almost Real'

Hi lovelies, since ages i have been looking for a pale nude color which will complement my skin and will go with my looks on days I want to look subtle and all... but couldn’t find the correct one despite many tries. I tried many testers on shops and bought the wrong shades as they looked different on my face when I came home. I ordered them online and even then the shades did not match my needs and my search for the perfect pale nude shade continued for me.

Are we living in the Pakistan dreamt by Sir Iqbal?

29 December 1930 - a day which marked the history with the conception of a new Islamic state in United India - became the first step towards the culmination of Pakistan.
The idea of having a separate muslim state was presented by Dr. Allama Muhammad Iqbal, in the 25th session of All India Muslim League. He was the person behind the ideology of Pakistan, for which we and our future generations will always be thankful to him.

An open letter to Madam Javeria Saud and all morning show hosts!!!

Madam i had the misfortune of watching your show in repeat on 16th October 2015 while surfing the channels and need to highlight certain issues on the topic that you had chosen today:

According to you and some of your guests, generally girls in Pakistan are not able to secure good jobs on the basis of their looks, or on the basis of the degree to which these ladies observe parda/hijab. It is quite disappointing to see what you are portraying through a channel which is being watched globally and definitely setting up an image of Pakistan in the whole world.

Are our morning shows actually represent majority of the mindset of the society or are they injecting the society with their own mindset?

#DIY #Makeup #Cleansing #Wipes

Hi girls, we have all been lazy on certain days where it seems too much to cleanse your makeup and we just want to hit the bed right after a hectic day. For such days I always keep a set of makeup cleansing wipes with me so that I can get away with the detailed cleansing routine and cleanse the makeup right on my bed.
I normally use Pure Cleansing wipes and you can read their review here. I have used many other brands as well but personally find these best suiting to my skin. However, for a pack of about 25 wipes, it costs around 140-150 Rs. on different stores and on some stores even more than that. Anyhow I didnt consider this too much of an amount until I discovered that I can make my own cleansing wipes at a fraction of the cost. Plus those are mostly organic and use much of the natural products so the face is happier and cleaner without using much chemicals :) Isn't this amazing???

So lets get started. Here is what you need for these DIY makeup wipes:

Review - Christine Professional Paint Stick [CN-CONTOURING]

Ladies, how many of you actually do contouring and highlighting with your makeup? And how many of you actually do know how to do that? While we normally ignore the contouring and highlighting with our daily routine of makeup, this actually makes a lot of difference on your face. For proper contour and highlight, though, you need proper tools as well as proper products.

There are many contouring powders, creams and sticks available in market which serve good purpose. I have tried one of them recently and want to share my review with you. It's Christine Makeup stick in CN-Contouring. Christine provides a variety of shades and you can choose according to your current skin shade and level of depth required in the contouring. Review - Shopping Experience with Trends World

Hi girls, hope all of you are enjoying the post Eid work blues and getting back into routine. I do understand that its hard to get back to work after a festival holiday, but hey... what is retail therapy for :)
As for me, I did some quick impulsive shopping after the Eid holidays and one of my recent purchases which i want to share with all of you is this amazing dress (Replica) bought from a very nice lady Sadaf.

Sadaf runs her page called Trends and also takes orders on Whatsapp. She is almost available all the time and is very sweet to discuss what kind of colors or styles you are looking for. She makes suggestions of her own to make you feel further comfortable.

I was not basically looking for any dresses right now as almost the season is off but Sadaf's sale offer caught my attention. The dress designs were very nice and prices were even more reasonable in sale offer. The one I have bought right now is a light blue base color with embroidery in pink, green and dull gold color. The embroidery finish is very good and the overall look of the dress is classic. Even the trouser has embroidery which is a unique style in itself. Stuff of the dress is good and the dupatta is chiffon.

The dress is replica of Maria B. design and Sadaf is always sure not to sell substandard products in the name of replica. I have purchased two Elan replicas from her few months back and this was my third purchase from her. She has been satisfactory all the times.
Delivery was quick and she kept me updated on the status of my order.
So ladies, what are you waiting for? Grab your piece to avail this lovely sale :D . And while we are on the topic of Retail therapy, don't forget to read this article before becoming obsessive with shopping ;)

Clean Makeup Brushes–Quick & Easy

Hi Girls, admit it … we all have been lazy to clean our makeup brushes according to the recommended routine … yes yes we all are busy in our routines and cleaning brushes becomes a hassle as you have to wait for your brushes to get dry and that means you wont be able to use them until then.

You either have to buy expensive makeup brush cleaners to do the job or you can make your own diy  brush cleaner which I will share in another post for the more elaborate cleaners  : ) but here I am going to share a quick and easy way to clean your makeup brushes and guess what, the brushes don’t take any longer to dry as well.

This simple trick uses only one item; a simple hand sanitizer. You just have to put a drop on the brush you want to clean, and start rubbing the brush on a clean paper towel or a cloth towel. Keep doing it until your  brush rubs clean. This usually doesn’t take any more than two drops. Since hand sanitizer has rubbing alcohol in it which evaporates quickly your brush is dry earlier. Also due to the antibacterial nature of almost all the hand sanitizers, your brushes are automatically cleaned from all the germs and dirt.

My video here shows this whole process. Do check it out and share if you like it. Watch in HD for the best results.

Caring For your Nails !!!

Hi girls … today I m going to share a few easy tips with you regarding your nail care. I don’t want to share too complex tips which would consume your time and u end up ignoring them.

So without much further a do… lets see what the tips are:

  • Add proteins and calcium to your diet – you can eat multivitamins for this purpose or you can eat the natural foods which contain these elements and therefore improve your overall health AND your nails …  isnt it cool !
  • Who doesn’t like french fries … we all do right? Next time you make your french fries, don’t peel off the skin … eat those with the skin on… potato’s skin is rich in nutrients which are good for your nails & skin
  • Massage olive oil/coconut oil on your cuticles and nails every night (OR at least twice a week) – you will see the difference in few weeks.
  • Use lemon skin peel on your discolored or stained nails
  • Nail polish removers mostly contain Acetone – which is a solvent best for dissolving nail polish, but it dries out your skin and nails. Try using acetone free nail polish remover if you have sensitive skin. Or if you need quick nail polish remover and cant avoid acetone; make sure you moisturize your skin before and after nail polish remover.
  • Use a hand cream every night before sleeping

These were few of the easy tips to take care of your nails, I have tried my best to make sure these are not very difficult to do so that every one of you can try them out. Do let me know if you have other easy tips.

DIY Hair Mask–Almost Natural!!!

Hi ladies; pollution and all sorts of hair products are definitely damaging our hair more than we know and think … and no matter how many heat protectants and market purchased hair treatments we buy and apply on our hair; I personally feel that’s just putting way more chemicals into our hair overall – Of course we can always go to beauty salons to get hair treatments done but again too many chemicals and the money issues as well – hehe – of course we girls want the best output at the lowest possible expense : ) this is why I m always looking for some home based treatments for the hair in which I am [ALMOST] fully aware of the ingredients thus totally reducing the chance of putting more chemicals on my head … I have found the below treatment very useful for the hair and thought to share with you girls out there. Here it goes girls …

Ingredients:

Following are the basic items you will need for this treatment; some of these are already available at your home normally:
  1. Your conditioner – half cup – no specific brand; whichever one u use; its better if it is organic – well this is the part which is the ALMOST chemical bit here : P
  2. 1 cup Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  3. 1 cup Coconut Oil
  4. 1 table spoon Organic Honey

Procedure:

Procedure is simple:
  1. Heat Olive Oil, Coconut oil and honey and mix them well. Don’t boil these but bring it to a warm temperature
  2. Mix it with the conditioner and then use a hand blender or machine blender to mix it well.
  3. Allow it to cool to a temperature which is bearable and apply to your hair
  4. Cover your head with a plastic shower cap
  5. Keep it for at least 1 hour and then wash off. You may also keep it overnight [I am guilty of doing this but hey its upto you ; ) ]
You may try this three times a week if your hair are really very dry; gradually you will come to see how it affects your hair and u will know how often you need it.
this was all from my side today, do you experts have any tips/hair masks of your own – do share in the comments below so we can all try them out. After all, sharing is caring :D Ciao!!!

Travel Size Your Stuff–Hair Care

Hey ladies, how often do u travel? I have many short and long trips over the year so I am always looking for ideas to mini-size all my stuff so its more and more convenient for me to carry around.

A very simple idea to travel size your conditioner, sun block etc. is to use small bottles to fill these things in and use for the travel purpose. You can either buy special purpose travel size bottles for this purpose or do what I do : ) use empty hand sanitizer bottles : ) Isn’t this cool girls.

I use hand sanitizer frequently and keep a bottle in my handbag always, once the sanitizer finishes, I clean the bottle, dry it up and then put my conditioner in it to be used for travelling. the bottle is small enough to be carried around in my makeup box and I label it using masking tape and a marker. How simple!!!

You may use anything else in the bottle as well; I use this for conditioner and my regular use sunblock.

For shampoos, I use sachets for travelling which are lighter to carry and also control the amount of shampoo you r using on the trip.

I have loads of more tips which u will see in the upcoming posts for sure…

Do you have any other travel sizing tips? Do share in comments below…
